Taos Behavioral Health invites you to come to our new Walk-In Clinic on Thursdays. We know that sometimes family and work schedules make it difficult for you to plan appointments in advance when you are looking for help with mental health struggles.
This is a new service—open from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 3 p.m. every Thursday. People will be seen on a first-come-first-served basis, but you can also call ahead and ask for an appointment time. When you come, please bring your insurance card if you have one.
Staffed by our clinicians and interns, this is an intake service that will help you determine your need for treatment. You may be experiencing acute stress over recent grief and loss or have ongoing anxiety and depression that you would like to discuss with a professional. During the intake process, a therapist will talk with you about the mental health struggles you are experiencing. Together, you can decide on the most appropriate follow up for your situation.
Brief intervention therapy may be exactly what you are looking for. TBH has 21 licensed clinicians who know a great variety of techniques to share with you. Our tagline is “Heal * Grow * Empower Yourself” — and we are committed to working with you for those goals.
Parent who are seeking help for young children should first come to the walk-in clinic by themselves for discussion with a clinician. Our staff will gather information and understand your concerns before meeting with other family members in follow-up.
Teenagers over the age of 14 are welcome and can access our services with a guarantee of confidentiality. If the decision is to seek ongoing services, insurance information will need to be collected.
It is important that you know this is not a crisis center. If you are genuinely in crisis you should go to the hospital or contact crisis services.
One of the best things about such a clinic is that in the intake process. You will be given time with a respectful caring professional who can help you prioritize your most important needs. You will have a chance to see our facilities at 105 Bertha and experience the welcoming and intake process. You will feel empowered that you have reached out to seek help and care for your needs.
While TBH has staff that are multi-lingual and we are committed to accommodating multi-lingual clients, we cannot guarantee that services can be provided in any language besides English at the walk-in services. We invite you to bring a translator if needed while an intake process identifies what you need on an ongoing basis.
