Nonviolence Awareness Classes (“NAC”)

When: Tuesday Evenings, 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm

 

 

Group Counseling and Skills-Building Class for Adults (17+)

Includes:

  • Anger reduction and avoidance, nonviolent conflict resolution
  • Healthy Relationships, Healthy Communication tools, Boundaries
  • Emotional Intelligence, Nonviolent Communication, Trauma Ed.
  • Substance use Reduction, Emotional Regulation tools
  • Support while in Legal or CYFD Systems

All group members must complete an intake with Taos Behavioral Health and will be eligible for individual and family counseling.  All services are confidential, caring and culturally sensitive.  Most insurance is accepted.  If insurance does not cover the fee, there is a $25 fee per class. Sliding scale available upon request. Veterans are Welcome! Three-month or six-month programs available. Group goals include career counseling and parenting support.

Must be over age 17. This group is NOT recommended for repeat batterers, sex offenders or those needing drug or alcohol rehabilitation. This group IS recommended for those experiencing family conflict or those struggling with anger. Sobriety is strictly enforced.
