Amanda Gallegos

Amanda Gallegos, LPCC

Amanda Gallegos joined TBH in August of 2018. Prior to coming to TBH, she worked as a clinician at El Centro Family Health providing family and individual counseling and psycho-educational groups for teens and adults.

In a previous position, she was a corrections therapist at the New Mexico State Prison where she completed evaluations and treatment planning, crisis intervention, and community reintegration planning.

Amanda worked as a private adoption therapist in Virginia after three years as a cognitive therapist for Agave Health in Los Lunas, NM. She is certified in crisis intervention and fluent in American sign language. She has completed Hispanic Women’s Leadership Training and enjoys community settings to treat clients believing that all people are capable of change through awareness.

She can use a variety of therapeutic intervention skills, including cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, multi-system therapy, motivational interviewing, and positive potential counseling. Her main practice is with families and young adults.

Amanda was born in Las Vegas, NM, the oldest of six, and grew up in Springer. In her free time she loves to cook, dance, hike, and spend time with her dog and five siblings.
